The aid may be provided at home, in an assisted living facility, or in a nursing home and can be provided by friends, family, or health care professionals. Our Phoenix Veterans Administration attorneys can review your history to see if you might qualify. The program applies to veterans who have served in the following conflicts:
- World War II: Applies to service dates ranging from Dec. 7, 1941, to Dec. 31, 1946.
- Korean conflict: Applies to service dates ranging from May 27, 1950, through Jan. 31, 1955.

What Amount Are You Entitled To?
The amount of compensation you are entitled to receive is determined by your current marital status. Surviving spouses of a veteran may receive up to $13,800 annually. A veteran with no dependents may receive up to $19,736 per year, and a veteran with one dependent may be eligible for up to $23,396 per year.
There is no income limit to bar you from qualifying. However, there is an asset limit of $80,000 for married couples and $50,000 for single individuals. If your assets exceed these amounts, the lawyers at Gorman & Jones, PLC, can help you set up a trust to help you make certain assets unaccountable, or we can explore other estate planning options in order to help you qualify.
